Fans of the wildly popular VH1 reality series, Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta, have been watching with baited breathe over the years as they follow the emotional roller coaster of a storyline between rapper Rasheeda Frost and her husband and co-star, Kirk Frost.
For viewers who hoped that the rapper would one day leave Frost, who flaunted his adulterous ways on the show, it seems that day may have finally come.
In an interview on Dish Nation, the star revealed that she and her husband of nearly 20 years are indeed separated.
“We’re separated, and we’re working on making sure that we’re doing everything that we need to do for our family,” she said.
The couple wed in 1999 and welcomed their oldest son, Ky, in 2000. They also have a 4-year-old son named Karter.
Despite the well-documented marital ups and downs fans witnessed the couple endure on the show, Rasheeda says they are both committed to ensuring that the happiness of their sons comes first.
“We are parenting very well. We have good communication. Two people trying to figure out the best thing to do for our children as far as making them comfortable, as far as him and I, that’s just what it is.”
