Childhood sweethearts turned love and basketball couple goals, the Currys’ marriage has certainly been one of our favorites!
The NBA power couple met as teens in a church youth group in small town North Carolina and have held onto their faith despite Steph’s meteoric rise to international fame and Ayesha’s budding culinary empire all while raising two daughters and remaining as humble and loving as ever.
Steph and Ayesha tied the knot in a beautiful Charlotte wedding. At the time, the 2x NBA champ and 2x league MVP was 23 and has spoken candidly about tying the knot at a young age. “Why waste time if you’ve found the right one?,” he told Graham Besinger in 2016. We couldn’t agree more!
The couple announced on Instagram that they are expecting their second child. “Didn’t think it was possible but My #WCW just got even sexier! Baby #2 on the way. Been blessed beyond belief already and I praise Him daily! God is great!,” Steph wrote.
Just before their oldest daughter Riley celebrated a birthday, she became a big sister after Ayesha gave birth to their second child—another girl—named Ryan.
Ayesha tested out some of her culinary skills with a pop-up restaurant in San Francisco called International Smoke. Steph was of course her biggest fan in the kitchen but he wasn’t the only celeb to enjoy one of Ayesha’s home cooked meals. Drake also showed love to the culinary queen for some good eats.
Ayesha, who is well-known for her love of cooking, debut her first cookbook, The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well.
Steph is a brand representative for Under Amour and with his own shoe line, the basketball phenom dedicated a special sneaker to his wife right on time for Mother’s day.
Steph wins his second NBA championship and Ayesha was right by his side to cheer him on. The big win, prompted the culinary queen to share a message of congratulations on Instagram for her superstar hubby who shines on and off the court. “”Glory to God!!!! So proud of you my baby! #DUBNATION,” she said.
