Fans may recognize Black Panther breakout star Letitia Wright from Black Mirror‘s “Black Museum,” a standout episode from the show’s fourth season. And while we all raved about it, Wright reveals she still hasn’t seen it.
Stopping by to chat with ESSENCE’S Yes, Girl!, Wright revealed that while she hasn’t seen her episode of the series, she does have a favorite.
“I’m just grateful for my American people accepting me,” she told hosts Charli Penn, Cori Murray, and Yolanda Sagweni. “I did that right after Black Panther. Is it bad I haven’t watched it yet? [Laughs] Fight me.”
She added, “I love Black Mirror so I have to sit down and watch each episode. The best episode so far is season three, ‘Nosedive.'”
The actress has taken the world by storm as Black Panther‘s Shuri, T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) brilliant, tech-obsessed sister. She also appears on the March cover of ESSENCE along with stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, and Angela Bassett.
And, Wright is not only a talented actress, she’s a pretty good rapper. Video of herself and Nyong’o dropping bars recently went viral.
For Wright, Black Panther and Black Mirror are just the beginning. We’re sure we’ll be seeing more of her soon.
