Blood, Sweat & Heels stars Demetria Lucas and Geneva Thomas are basking in the glow of being ratings success. Their reality show about six career-driven women in New York City debuted at number one this past week, with 2.5 million viewers—a ratings first for a Bravo premiere. After the premiere, Lucas’ blog crashed and she got a ton of new followers on social media. “It’s been a whirlwind,” says Thomas.
“It’s a turning point for reality [shows] in that we are looking at women who are really working, not rich women who are living in these fabulous houses. We are grinding.”
On the hot topic of snooping on your man, which came up on the first episode, Lucas—who felt like it’s never a good idea—says, “My point of view has not changed, but I think I would have been a little more sensitive.”
