Cardi B says she will be open with her daughter about her stripper past.
The “Invasion Of Privacy” rapper, who is expecting a baby girl, opened up about her future parenting skills in the July cover issue of Rolling Stone. And she wants to be best friends with her daughter.
“I’m going to tell her everything. Everything,” she says, then addresses her daughter: “You have a choice. I could maintain you. I could spoil you if you go to college. Or if you want to be independent, go ahead. When you a teenager and you 18, 19, you can’t get no job that pays you more than $200 a week.”
She continues: “You want to become a stripper? ‘Cause I became a stripper ’cause I ain’t have no choice. You gonna be getting your ass smacked by niggas that have less money than you, less of an education than you, but they going to feel like they better than you because they feel like you need them. You want to live like that?”

Cardi B announced her pregnancy in April while performing on Saturday Night Live. She decided to take some time off weeks after dropping her debut #1 album. The 2018 Broccoli City Festival in late April was her last gig until after the baby arrives.
“Shorty keep growing and I be looking like I be moving and everything, but in reality, a bitch barely can breathe,” she said in a video message to her Instagram followers.
Cardi B became engaged to her fiance Offset last October during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia.
