Cardi B and Offset are ready to welcome their bundle of joy.
The “I Like It” rapper husband Migos’ Offset were joined by friends and family for a lavish baby shower in Atlanta. Videos shared on social media from the event show an elated Cardi walking into the event with Offset on her arm.
This is the couple’s first child together. Earlier this year, Cardi confirmed it will be a girl—the baby’s gender was further confirmed by the pink-themed shower.
Guests included celebrities like Monica and Shannon Brown and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta‘s Kirk and Rasheeda Frost. TMZ also revealed that the little girl’s shower registry was as lavish as her mama. From a Moses bassinet retailing for $2,799 (with an $839 extra fee for gold-leaf covering) to a mini Bentley Bentayga, Cardi’s baby girl will be set.
Though the event seemed to go off without a hitch, Cardi alluded to the stress of planning a baby shower for a big family in a series of tweets.
“Baby shower planning makes me not even wanna do a wedding,” she wrote. “Soo overwhelming!”
She confirmed Monday that she and Offset had actually tied the knot last September, a month before the Migos rapper publicly proposed during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia.
“There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself!” she tweeted. “Getting married was one of those moments!”
She added: “Well now since you lil nosey f—ks know at least ya can stop saying I had a baby out of wedlock.“
Cardi announced her pregnancy in April while performing on Saturday Night Live. She decided to take some time off weeks after dropping her debut #1 album. The 2018 Broccoli City Festival in late April was her last gig until after the baby arrives.
