Carmelo Anthony is ready to take his talents beyond the basketball court.
According to Page Six, the New York Knicks star has been pitching a political reality show. Anthony, who has publicly shown his support for Black Lives Matter and been outspoken on various issues, wants the show to be based on his work as political activist.
The half-hour show would focus on Anthony meeting with like-minded celebrities to discuss issues, attend rallies and more. The potential show could explain why Anthony may stay with the New York Knicks next season in order to be able to tape the show in New York City. Additionally, it probably helps that Anthony’s wife La La and son Kiyan, are also based in NYC.
Although Anthony and his wife announced their separation in April, the Power star recently told Wendy Williams that she doesn’t know what the future holds for them, and they aren’t divorcing “right now.”
Reports are saying that Anthony has pitched the show to several cable networks. No word yet on if a network is picking up the show.
