Condolences are still pouring in for
Kim Porter, who passed away last Thursday after reportedly
suffering from a weeks-long bout of pneumonia.
Entertainment heavyweights like Rihanna, Janelle Monáe, and Kimora Lee Simmons have
all weighed in on Porter’s surprising death, and now singer Cassie has shared her thoughts on Diddy’s “soulmate” as well.
“There are no words,” the R&B singer wrote in a touching Instagram post. “An amazing mother to her beautiful family, lit up every room she entered and now the most beautiful angel.”
Cassie and Porter both had long term relationships with Combs, and apparently became close while Porter and the music mogul co-parented four children together. Cassie, who was reportedly with Diddy for nearly a decade
before the pair reportedly split this year, sent her regards to the entire Porter-Combs clan.
“Sending so much love and my condolences to the Porter and Combs family,” she said, shouting out Porter’s children. “I love you [Quincy], [Christian], Jessie, D’Lila, Chance, [Justin] and [Diddy].”
Before signing off, Cassie had more kind words for her former flame. “Puff you are already the best father. I know you will be amazing,” she wrote.
After days of public silence, no doubt to grieve in private with his children, Combs took to social media on Sunday to remember Porter. It was the same day Diddy honored her with a
homegoing service, attended by Kimora Lee Simmons.
“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much,”
he wrote. “We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SH-T!! And I miss you so much.”
Porter is survived by her four children — Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and twins, Jessie and D’Lila Combs.
