Rapper and mogul Jay-Z celebrated his 50th birthday on Wednesday.
While the day included special offerings on Jay’s Tidal, and saw the rapper’s catalog return to Spotify after a two-year hiatus, it also included plenty of birthday messages from celebrity friends and politicians, including Hillary Clinton, Diddy, Kelly Rowland, and Drake.
Timbaland, who worked the rapper on singles for albums like The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2, Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life, and The Black Album, also paid tribute to Hov with a “special alert.”
Other celebs such as DJ Khaled and Tyrese, along with close friends Swizz Beatz and Meek Mill also celebrated the rapper’s birthday.
No word yet on how Hov celebrated the big day, but we’re sure that it was nothing short of incredible.
