Early Thursday morning, the mom-to-be arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for her cesarean section and gave birth to their baby girl — Dream Renée Kardashian — at 9:18 a.m., who weighed 7 lbs., 5 oz., according to E! News.
So just how did the engaged couple decide on the name Dream? According to a source, Kardashian, 29, and Chyna, 28 agreed upon the name long before welcoming their newborn daughter into the world.
“Rob and Chyna had the name Dream for a long time,” the source tells PEOPLE. “They named her Dream because they’ve always said she’s a dream come true.”
After Kardashian, who was in the delivery room when his fiancée gave birth to their first child together, met his infant daughter, the new father took to Instagram to express his excitement and love for Chyna and Dream.

“Today was amazing I am so lucky!! Thank you @blacchyna for having our baby and being so strong ! I love you so much and can’t wait to see her get older day by day with you Chy!” he captioned an adorable Instagram photo of his daughter. “I love you and Dream so much and Appreciate both of you I know everyone saying that’s my twin but that’s def your nose Chy lol.”
Friends and family of the E! reality stars also celebrated the arrival of the littlest Kardashian on social media after she was born, including Kylie Jenner,Khloé Kardashian and Chyna’s BFF Amber Rose.
“A Dream come true #DreamKardashian,” Rose, 32, penned on Instagram alongside a photo of herself holding the sweet sleeping baby.
“I can’t stop looking at her, congrats @robkardashian @BLACCHYNA she’s so beyond beautiful, a dream,” Jenner tweeted.

In May, the Rob & Chyna stars shared the exciting news that they were expecting a little one shortly after Kardashian proposed with a diamond ring.
Kardashian told PEOPLE in September that he was looking forward to being a father and hoped to emulate the relationship he had with his late dad Robert Kardashian. “I had a really close bond with my dad. I was only with him for 15 years,” he told PEOPLE in his cover interview. “That’s why I’m looking forward to having that long-term bond with my child and being funny and goofy like my dad was.”
