Charlamagne Tha God has responded to allegations that he raped his wife the first time they had sex.
In a recently resurfaced interview, shared by The Starr Report, “The Breakfast Club” co-host admits that he and his wife agree that he raped her the first time they had sex.
“I’m married to my wife,” Charlamagne says in the audio clip. “Me and my wife dated for a whole year, she would not give me no pussy. Me and my wife hung out one Saturday night and she got sloppy drunk and passed out in my momma’s house and I got that pussy. She was f–king me back, and all that, but she was really drunk. I asked her yesterday, ‘Did I rape you the first time we ever had sex?’ And she goes, ‘I mean in hindsight, yeah.'”
On Tuesday, the radio personality addressed the audio clip and allegations.
Charlamagne stated that he and his wife had been having a conversation about rape culture and whether drunk sex was considered rape. The DJ also phoned his wife during the segment and asked her if she considered their first sexual encounter to be rape.
“We both know what happened and I was not passed out,” she said. “I was very coherent, like enough for me to lift off my hips so you could take my panties off.”
This is not the first time Charlamagne has been entangled in a rape allegation. Another recently resurfaced audio clip features the radio host discussing purchasing Spanish Fly and getting a girl drunk before having sex with her.
Fans of “The Breakfast Club” have also called for the co-host to be fired after Jessica Reid, a woman who claims the radio personality raped her when she was 15, came forward with her story.
According to The Blast, Charlamagne was arrested in 2001 for a charge of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree. Eventually, he pled guilty to a lesser charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was sentenced to three years of probation.
Charlamagne has denied the allegations.
