The “This Is America” tour, Donald Glover’s last featuring his rap alter ego Childish Gambino, was recently in serious danger of coming to a close sooner than he had planned.
The rapper broke his foot during a performance in Dallas, Texas causing the show to end a full thirty minutes early, TMZ reports.
Apparently the 35-year-old actor triggered an old injury while doing splits, a concertgoer told the website. Glover then reportedly showed up to the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas wearing a leg brace while seated in a wheelchair.
Glover and his opening act, Rae Sremmurd, are set to appear at five more shows on the West Coast before the tour’s concludes with two night stint in Los Angeles.
Hopefully the “3005” rapper will be able to treat fans to a proper farewell to their favorite hip-hop satirist.
