Five-time NBA All-Star and retired professional basketball player Chris Webber just achieved another milestone in his life, just in time for Father’s Day.
He became a first time dad! Webber and wife Erika Dates Webber just welcomed their twins to the world.
Webber captioned the post, “So thankful. After many years of trying and more than a few heartbreaks we were blessed with these little ones. Thank you @mrserikawebber.”
Dates Webber also posted this beautiful photo of the family on Instagram with the following inspirational message: “Grateful… 8 years waiting for our family to grow, and we were double blessed. Never underestimate the power of prayer, even when “they” tell you it’s impossible…”
Webber and his wife married in 2009 and have been trying to conceive for eight years.
The 44-year-old former NBA star’s rise to sports fame began when he led the group of players known as the Fab Five at the University of Michigan in 1991. He was drafted into the NBA in 1993 as the number one overall draft pick.
Congratulations to Webber, his wife and and their two bundles of joy!
