Diddy is serious about trying to buy the Carolina Panthers! The mogul has set up meetings with potential investors to create an ownership group which could include Colin Kaepernick, Yahoo Sports reports.
Diddy announced his intentions to buy the Panthers after team owner Jerry Richardson announced he would sell his share of the franchise following “workplace misconduct” allegations.
A source close to Kaepernick told Yahoo Sports that the quarterback had a “shared vision” with Diddy, following a lengthy call, about creating an ownership group with a similar racial makeup of the league. Richardson’s controlling stake is projected to cost about $1.2 billion.
“The interest is real and it’s moving forward,” the source said of Combs and Kaepernick working together. “They want to make this a reality. It’s serious.”
