Seems Drake’s Coachella experience ended on a sour note after the rapper accused an area country club of racial profiling.
The rapper wasn’t scheduled to appear at the annual California desert event, but surprised festival-goers during Future’s set.
However, things went south while the More Life rapper was staying at The Madison Club. According to a since-deleted Instagram post, staff at the country club racially profiled the rapper.
Sharing a photo of the club’s logo, Drake wrote, “the most offensive place I have ever stayed at in my life with staff who pick and choose who they are going to accommodate based on racial profiling.”
Drake’s fans quickly took to social media to go after the club, flooding The Madison Club’s pages with negative reviews.
Complex notes that an apology from an account believed to be affiliated with The Madison Club was posted beneath Drake’s now-deleted post, “We will also be investigating this as we do not tolerate racial discrimination.” The account added that a formal apology is forthcoming.
