Drake showed the world that he had finally squashed his longtime beef with Chris Brown by bringing him out as a special guest Saturday at the Los Angeles stop of his “Aubrey and The Three Amigos Tour.”
The duo has had tension for years allegedly over their mutual ex, Rihanna. Their feud escalated after a
2012 bottle-hurling brawl at a New York nightclub.
Now, as Drake told the Staples Center, it as all behind him.
“I want to share this moment with y’all tonight. This is something I waited a long time for. I got the utmost respect—I think this guy’s one of the most talented human beings on the planet,” he said to introduce Brown. “I never really got my chance to show him. So I figured tonight—in Staples Center, with each and every one of y’all—it would be the perfect time to share this moment.”
Brown then took the stage to perform some of his hits.
After the show, the Scorpion rapper took to Instagram to comment on the epic moment.
“This is not a fan edit,” Drake wrote. “Last time I was on stage with Breezy was 2009 at Virginia Commonwealth University…tonight I got to reconnect with him for the first night at Staples! I love a good full circle moment. Thank you.”
Chris also commented on their new relationship, calling it a “movement…not a moment.”
Earlier in the tour,
Drake also ended his feud with Meek Mill during the Philadelphia stop of his tour.
