Jay Z, unquestionably the most influential rapper currently in popular music, was denied a request to record a song with one of most iconic and adored names in music, Sade. The singer, who has been in music for more than 25 years, humbly denied Sean Carter’s request to team up on track for a future project. It’s not that Sade is a diva, but she fears she won’t live up to the hype. “I’m too scared,” she said, explaining why she turned down both Jay-Z and Drake’s recent requests to collaborate. “They’ll find me out. It’s like ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ They’ll find out there’s nothing there. As for collaborations, I’m collaborating with the band and we do what we do.” Even if we won’t ever see Sade team up with another artist, there are still a few musical collaborations we dream could really happen.
