Mary Mary’s Tina Campbell tried explaining why she voted for Donald Trump in a new interview with The Root.
Campbell says she voted for the former reality star because “some of Donald Trump’s views on Christianity, honestly, is what caused me to vote for him.”
Campbell frames her decision as voting for the lesser of two evils, adding, “I was faced with two presidential candidates that I really did not approve of. And, so I had to find something, a commonality with one of them, that would make me feel like if I have to vote, I should utilize my right to vote. Since I don’t prefer either of them, what can I find that would make me vote?”
The singer admits that many of Trump’s decisions have rubbed her the wrong way, but as a Christian, she’ll continue to pray for the president.

Apparently, someone once threw a shoe at Jennifer Hudson.
The singer and actress told Seth Meyers that a fan tossed a show at her during a recent concert, but Hudson didn’t see it as a bad thing.
“At J Hud Productions, it is a compliment,” she said. “If you move me enough that I remove my shoe to throw it at you, you have done something amazing. It is equivalent to a standing ovation.”
