Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. are back in the ring, but instead of a brawl inside a fashion week party this time their bout took place in the media.
The Queens rapper took to her Queen Radio to directly address what she claimed were several false stories swirling around her beef with Cardi B.
She denied accusations from Cardi B.’s sister, Hennessy, that she leaked the rapper’s phone number to the Barbs and rejected suggestions that she was responsible for anything her fans might do.
“And then you have your sister calling me a crackhead and leak numbers?” she said. “You can’t control your sister, but you want me to control millions of fans? I’ve never leaked a number in my life and y’all continue to lie on me to make me look like a bad person.”
She told Cardi B that the Bronx rapper “planted those seeds for people not to like me.”
Minaj also accused Cardi of being insincere with the friendships she formed with other female rappers.
“Now you all lovey dovey with them girls, why you not ask Remy [Ma] and [Lil] Kim to be on your second single,” she asked after revealing that she declined to be featured on “Bartier Cardi”.
She also said that the knot that Cardi B. proudly sported on her forehead after their altercation at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party was not in fact from security as she claimed, but placed there by her friend and rapper, Rah Ali.
“Rah beat you so bad that I was mad at Rah. You went home and told people security hit you, and we let that ride for legal reasons,” said Minaj.
And Cardi B. wasn’t one to back down. The rapper took to her Instagram page to clap back, releasing a series of videos.
She reiterated that she always showed love to Nicki Minaj throughout her rise to the top.
“You once said that I never showed you genuine love and that’s crazy because when you pull up all my videos you see that I’m always showing you respect,” said Cardi.
She refuted claims that Rah Ali was the one who left the knot on her forehead, citing the many video clips that circulated after the incident.
Okay girls. We get it.
