Robert Glasper is back at it again. The producer and Grammy-nominated keyboardist has teamed up with platinum-selling recording artist Erykah Badu from the first track of his new album, Black Radio Recovered: The Remix EP.
The six-track EP — which also includes guest appearances by Questlove, The Roots and Solange Knowles — will hit stores on October 9th. The album contains remixed and unreleased tracks from Glasper’s Black Radio album, which was released last February.
Glasper is known as the leader of the Robert Glasper Experiment, a band that includes saxist Casey Benjamin, bassist Derrick Hodge, and drummer Chris Dave. Fans can look forward to seeing the group on the road this fall with performances at the 2012 iTunes Festival and an upcoming North American tour.
The album’s leading track, “Afro Blue” feat. Erykah Badu, was produced by 9th Wonder and features a new rap verse by Phonte. Get a first listen below!
