Supermodel Tyra Banks is everywhere these days. She’s a judge and producer on America’s Next Top Model, she’s working on a new sitcom and she recently held a star-studded Flawsome Ball to benefit her TZONE Foundation.
The 38-year-old seems to be living out all of her wildest dreams but one: she’s yet to start a family. However after news broke of her baby fever last month, the Harvard Business grad now says she’s aiming to keep her private life under wraps.
During an exclusive interview with ESSENCE.com about her new Smize Yourself! app, Banks said that every time she mentions babies the media goes bananas. “The baby fever thing I find interesting because I say it publicly every three years. I say it all the time and every time I say it it gets crazy. I’m like, ‘Wow, people really care about that,'” she said. “I see it on a poll on CNN and I am like, ‘Wow, what is going on?’ All I said is I am ready to have babies.”
Banks said after reading reports that “her eggs are fried, scrambled and hard now,” she’s going to start watching her words. “I try to keep my private life kind of private,” she said. “I didn’t realize people care that much, but I guess they do. I feel like so many people are having babies and I didn’t feel like me saying it this time would get such a big buzz.”
