Ladies, do you recognize this man? With 10 years in the business working as a top fitness and commercial model and rising TV and soap actor, we’re certain that you’ve seen this pretty face around a time or two. His name is Max Tapper, and the caramel cutie has his sights set on big time success in Hollywood. Are you ready to meet Max?
Born to Jamaican parents, Tapper grew up in Brooklyn, and his family moved to upstate New York when he was thirteen. He made his way to Philadelphia after being accepted into Temple University, and today he resides in New Jersey with his six-year old son.
After graduating college with a degree in Exercise-Science and Kinesiology, Tapper embarked on a career in personal training. In 2002, while training a client, he caught the eye of a Playboy magazine executive. He was immediately booked for a fashion editorial in the popular men’s magazine, which subsequently launched his successful modeling career.
“I have a lot of fun just people watching in Manhattan,” says Tapper. “The majority of my work life has been very active, so when I get free time, I really just want to relax.” As if modeling and acting haven’t kept this hunk busy enough, Tapper tells us that he had a passion for rapping and music producing long before he stepped in front of the cameras. Is it just us, or is he giving you some seriously sexy early-days LL Cool J vibes?
Tapper played Detective Theodore Price on One Life to Live before the popular daytime soap opera was cancelled. He had a nice following while on the show, and if you’re one of those fans, Tapper has good news: “It has been picked back up, and I’m working on getting back on the new show to resume my character.”
