First Lady Michelle Obama had a close call yesterday afternoon when her plane got too close to a military cargo jet approaching Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, say US aviation officials.
The Federal Aviation Administration, which has been on the hot seat lately — for controllers found sleeping on the job or watching movies when they should be working — confirms that Mrs. Obama’s plane aborted its approach to the Base on Monday, circled until it was safe, and then had a safe landing.
