While Nispey Hussle’s murder suspect Eric Holder remains in police custody, being held on $7 million bail, all eyes are on his getaway driver.
An unnamed woman–who was driving the car Holder hopped into last Sunday after fatally shooting the beloved rapper and community activist–was the key to capturing Holder after a two-day manhunt.
The Los Angeles Times reports that a woman who was allegedly Holder’s getaway driver turned herself in to police, and was later released without being arrested. According to sources, the woman insisted she was unaware that Holder shot Hussle when he got into the car Sunday.
An autopsy of Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, determined that he died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso. He was only 33.
TMZ tracked down the auto shop, which serviced the getaway car last year–eventually leading them to make contact with an anonymous woman before Holder’s arrest on Tuesday.
The woman said she was going to call the police to clear her name.
“The woman then said she subsequently began a friendship with Holder and she was with him Sunday when they drove to Nipsey’s clothing store near the Crenshaw District of L.A.” TMZ reported.
“She claims she was waiting for him in the alley when he went over to the clothing store. She also claims she didn’t know why he was going there and he didn’t say anything when he came back to the car.”
So far, the unnamed alleged driver has not been charged.
