Another alumnus of The Good Wife will join in on the fight.
Audra McDonald, who played United States attorney Liz Lawrence on CBS’ The Good Wife, will reprise her role on the CBS All Access spin-off, The Good Fight. In the new season that will premiere in early 2018 and will now include 13 episodes, McDonald will be revealed as the ex-wife of Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo), with whom she has several unresolved issues.
“We’re thrilled that Audra McDonald will return to the fictional Chicago of The Good Fight,” said executive producers Robert and Michelle King in a joint statement. “After seeing her facility with both comedy and drama, we were dying for the chance to work with her again. Audra brings intelligence, strength, and wit to Liz Lawrence, the character she developed in the fourth season of The Good Wife.”
After winning a record six Tonys, McDonald holds the distinction as Broadway’s most-decorated actor. When she isn’t treading the boards in New York City, she has appeared on TV in NBC’s The Sound of Music Live! and Private Practice, along with providing her voiceover skills to Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.
Besides Lindo, The Good Fight stars Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Sarah Steele, and Justin Bartha.
