Jada Pinkett Smith‘s children are all grown up and they are definitely exploring the dating scene.
With two teenagers, 19-year-old son Jaden and daughter Willow, 17, the mother of two plus has faced her fair share of dating dilemmas in regards to her children and she’s opening up about it.
In a Facebook Live Q&A for her new intimate talk show, Red Table Talk, the actress sat down with fellow star Duane Martin to candidly talk about the facets of parenthood — including letting their children date.
“There have been a few and I’ve been concerned!” the Baltimore native admitted when asked if she was comfortable with the significant others her children have brought home. “Willow, actually, her choices have been spectacular in all honesty. But it’s been my boys, at times!”
The Girls Trip actress also helps co-parent her “bonus son” Trey from husband Will Smith‘s previous marriage to ex-wife, Sheree Fletcher.
While the dating road for some of her children has been a bit of a rocky road, the 46-year-old admits that when her offspring came of age and showed interest in going out, she jumped on board.
“You’ve gotta go with the flow. Your kids aren’t always going to date people that you love, you know, but I’ve learned that you really just have to be there and support because that can create a conflict that you can’t get a win.”
Yet another solid parenting gem, Jada.
