Jay Z may have millions of fans around the world, but his biggest fan lives right at home with him.
The rap mogul covers the latest issue of Vanity Fair and says his daughter simply loves his music. “…My album came out and I don’t know if Blue ever heard any of my music prior to this album—she’s only 18 months old and I don’t play my music around the house,” he confessed. “But his album was new, so we played it. And she loves all the songs. She plays a song and she goes, ‘More, Daddy, more… Daddy song.'”
Jay Z, whose last album the Magna Carta Holy Grail was released this summer, says he loves watching his daughter enjoy his music. And for him, it wouldn’t matter if no one ever bought the album because Blue adores it. “…The fact that she loves it so much, it gives me the greatest joy,” shared the glowing father. “And that’s not like a cliché. I’m really serious… She’s genuine, she’s honest, because she doesn’t know it makes me happy. She just wants to hear it.”
When asked if wife Beyoncé is still a good girl he said, “Nah. She’s gangsta now.” America has watched their love blossom over the last ten-plus years. But Jay Z says Beyoncé still would be interested in him even if he was a gas station attendant. “If I’m as cool as I am, yes,” he shared. “But she’s a charming Southern girl, you know, she’s not impressed… But I would have definitely had to be this cool.”
