John Singleton is in worst condition than initially thought.
The acclaimed director is reportedly in a coma a week after checking himself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and suffering a stroke on April 17, TMZ reports Thursday.
The site alleges that legal documents revealed that Singleton’s mother, Shelia Ward, is asking for a judge to appoint her temporary conservator because he is “unable to properly provide for his personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter.”
Singleton, 51, reportedly was in the intensive care unit as of last weekend, even though family members described the stroke “mild.”
By seeking the conservatorship, Ward will be able to execute business affairs for the Academy Award-nominated director.
