The 2016 presidential campaigns are heating up, and Kanye West is throwing in his two cents about the candidates.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the rapper-turned-designer-turned-presidential candidate opens up about his admiration for one candidate in particular: Ben Carson.
“As soon as I heard Carson speak, I tried for three weeks to get on the phone with him,” Kanye said. “I was like, ‘This is the most brilliant guy.'”

Carson’s business manager Armstrong Williams told The Guardian that Kanye had, indeed, called Carson, a former neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins, and spent 45 minutes on the phone with the Republican candidate, rapping to him and talking about life in general.
“[Carson] things [Kanye] is a genius,” Williams said. “He’s grateful, and he’s looking forward to Kanye getting involved in the campaign.”
Sounds like Dr. Carson might’ve just found a running mate.
