Kanye West is freestylin’ for Jesus.
On Sunday in New York City, the rapper was putting on his touring Sunday Service show at The Greater Allen A.M.E. when he decided to add his own flow.
Video clips of the action show a joyous Kanye rapping alongside the choir, bringing back memories of the early 2000s Kanye that we all fell in love with.
This moment, however, was overshadowed with news that his latest album, Jesus Is King, has yet to drop despite Kanye already moving back the release date from Friday to Sunday.
“Kanye is doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday” his wife Kim Kardashian West told fans over the weekend. “He’s dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.”
At his NYC listening party for his album on Sunday, Kanye didn’t provide any insight to a new possible release date.
Kardashian also announced the upcoming release of an IMAX film titled Jesus Is Lord, which is slated to come out in October.
