Kany West is ready to take his new album on the road.
Only hours after the highly anticipated Jesus Is King dropped on Friday, West confirmed to TMZ cameras that he planned to go on tour “right away.”
It was not clear what that meant per West’s timeline, especially given that the latest gospel album was delayed by weeks. Jesus Is King was originally supposed to be released on September 27 and was later pushed back to September 29. It never arrived then, and many were skeptical when West announced the new release date would be this week.
There was even some drama on Friday when the album didn’t immediately arrive on schedule, forcing West to release a message to his fans.
“To my fans, thank you for being loyal & patient,” West tweeted. “We are specifically fixing mixes on ‘Everything We Need,’ ‘Follow God’ & ‘Water’.”
“We not going to sleep until this album is out!” he added.
In a wide-reaching interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, West also revealed that a second album, titled Jesus is Born, will be released this Christmas.
