For the second time in several months, America witnessed a somewhat vulnerable Kanye West open up about his life and his feelings on national television.
Last night, his good friend and late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel welcomed West onto his show to end their feud. Not only did the gentlemen manage to understand each other’s point of view surrounding Kimmel’s parody of West’s BBC Radio 1 interview featuring kids, but the they agreed on their hatred toward the media.
Kimmel acknowledged that he had only seen a small portion of the interview and that he green lit the parody because he enjoys seeing kids curse. To his credit, he didn’t mean any harm.
West said anger contributed to his Twitter tirade against Kimmel. “This is the one person I know!” said West. “So I can go and let out everything that I feel about every single bogus Weekly cover, every single bogus skit, every single rumor in a barbershop, every thing that people feel like it’s OK to treat celebrities like zoo animals. Or act like what they’re saying is not serious, or that life is not serious or their dreams are not serious.”
Kimmel followed up with thoughts that West sometimes brings the negative attention and misunderstanding on himself. “I found it odd to be in the position that I was in because as you said, I often in my own personal conversations say ‘I know this guy. He is not a jerk.'”
By the end of their lengthy conversation, the gentlemen shared many more smiles and laughs. Kimmel even showed a new skit featuring Josh Grobin singing some of West’s most angry or unusual tweets.
