After Katt Williams accused of her of not putting in the necessary work to be a “real” comedian, Tiffany Haddish responded with love. And now it appears the love was returned backstage at Monday night’s Emmy Awards.
Williams and Haddish posed for a series of pictures, which Haddish simply tagged: #winners. In the photos, Williams seems to be on his knees in front of a smiling Haddish.
Before Monday night’s ceremony, both comedians won awards for turning in awesome guest appearances.
Haddish picked up a trophy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for hosting Saturday Night Live last November, while Williams earned an Emmy after starring in a scene-stealing performance in Atlanta.
After the show, Williams confirmed to TMZ that it was all good between him and Haddish. “[Tiffany] and I never had any beef,” he told a reporter from the celebrity news site.
“I was really just sorry that I mentioned Wanda Sykes or Tiffany’s name,” Williams continued. “I was in a conversation with a non-female comedian about female comedians. That was a no-no. So I’ve been chastised enough by Wanda Sykes and others to see the error of my ways.”
Haddish echoed Williams’ thoughts, telling TMZ, “It never was a problem.”
So…maybe we’ll see these two Emmy winners in a project together in the future? We hope so.
