Don’t get it twisted—Keri Hilson could be in a relationship right now if she wanted to be but for the time being, she’s single and loving it.
After ending two relationships publically, the singer is taking a break from the dating scene and she’s okay with it, even if her fans aren’t.
This week, the 35-year-old singer defended her singledom in an Instagram post.
“I’m single by choice. I believe in reflecting, growing, & healing in between relationships. I don’t Tarzan swing from vine to vine out of fear, loneliness, ego, or validation cuz I truly enjoy my life by myself, too. I’m not waiting or looking. The right one will find me when it’s time. I’m just focused on being the best human I can be. #truestory, she wrote.”
Last December Hilson tweeted out a cryptic message about taking the high road after ending things with retired NFL player Ricardo Lockette.
Having previously dated Toronto Raptors player, Serge Ibaka, the singer opened up about recovering from a broken heart in 2016 saying, “I will make different decisions in future relationships. When you put things on Front Street, it opens the door for opinions. It opens the door for wolves to attack. I certainly have been placed in that position where things have been written about me as it pertains to relationships that are so far from the truth. To me, that’s a personal attack. You can talk about my music all day, but when it comes to making up things and a character attack, I don’t take them well. It makes me want to be completely mysterious. You can’t really stop it though. It’s the climate we’re in.”
All we want is for Ms. Keri baby to win at love and it looks like she’s on the right road to making that happen!
