The woman at the center of the Kevin Hart cheating scandal has lawyered up.
Montia Sabbag, an aspiring actress and model, has teamed up with Lisa Bloom, the lawyer representing Blac Chyna in her case against Rob Kardashian.
Bloom took to Twitter to announce that she’d be representing Sabbag, who is accused of extorting Kevin Hart after the comedian was filmed cheating on his wife, Eniko Parrish.
Bloom’s press release states that Sabbag was “briefly involved with Kevin Hart a month ago” and that she has faced “false, vicious attacks on her character.” She also announced that a press conference would take place Wednesday, where Sabbag would address the accusations and their next steps.
Update:
Bloom and Sabbag have addressed the accusations facing Sabbag in a press conference livestreamed via TMZ.
Sabbag told reporters that claims she is a stripper and extortionist are untrue, “I am a recording artist and actress and I have not broken any laws.”
“I had nothing to do with these recordings,” Sabbag continued. “I have hired Lisa Bloom to protect my rights and I am truly sorry for any involvement I had in this.”
Bloom answered questions on behalf of the aspiring recording artist, refusing to address whether or not Sabbag knew Hart was married at the time and denying that she asked the comedian for money to take a lie detector test. Bloom added that she does not advise her clients to take polygraph tests.
Neither party said who they believe may have filmed Hart and Sabbag’s tryst, but Bloom made it clear that she and her client will be working with authorities.
