Well, Lil Wayne has officially been canceled.

Weezy recently sat down with Nightline’s Linsey Davis, who asked the rapper how he felt about the Black Lives Matter movement, which he had no idea even existed.

“What is it?” he asked, “What––what do you mean?” Davis explained that the movement was created and continues because the rest of America doesn’t seem to believe that Black lives matter. The idea of such a movement seemed weird to Wayne, who said that someone being shot by a police officer for a “f—–d up reason” isn’t really a movement or something that needs to be named.

“I am a young black rich m—-f—r! If that don’t let you know that America understand black m—-f—r matter these days, I don’t know what it is,” Wayne said. He then pointed at the camera man and added, “That man white, he filmin’ me. I’m a n—-a. I don’t know what you mean, man. Don’t come at me with that dumb s—t, ma’am. My life matter. Especially to my b—h.”

Wayne continued, saying that he didn’t feel any connection to the movement because it had nothing to do with him.

“I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me. If you do, you crazy as s–t. You. Not the camera, you. Feeling connected to something that ain’t got nothing to do with you? If it ain’t got nothing to do with me, I ain’t connected to it,” he said.

Well, we don’t know if Wayne is so lost in his own bubble that he’s out of touch with what’s going on, but a simple pass on the question could have saved him a ton of drama, because Twitter went in.

Wayne has shown time and time again that he doesn’t really understand racism and current issues facing many Black Americans, so maybe it’s time we just stop asking for his opinion.

Let’s put Wayne on ice.
