Lisa Bonet has broken her silence about Bill Cosby, her former TV dad.
The former “Cosby Show” actress told Net-a-Porter ‘s Porter Magazine that she she wasn’t aware of any inappropriate behavior by Cosby on his hit TV show, but she wasn’t surprised by the rape allegations because he gave off a “sinister” energy.
“There was just energy,” she said. “And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed.”
Cosby has been gearing up for a retrial on charges of drugging and molesting one of his accusers Andrea Constand. Prosecutors are hoping to get 19 women to testify that Cosby gave them an intoxicant and sexually abused them during encounters that stretch back decades.
Bonet and Cosby notoriously clashed over her role in 1987’s R-rated “Angel Heart” in which she performed a nude sex scene with Mickey Rourke.
“I don’t need to say, ‘I told you so’,” she says about Cosby’s current situation. “I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be.”
