Lupita Nyong’o’s awards season isn’t just about the accolades. The 12 Years a Slave star says she and her best friend have created a checklist of all the celebrities they want to meet. “Cate Blanchett, Meryl Street and Jessica Chastain,” she told Jimmy Kimmel last night. “And Leonardo DiCaprio,” she gushed, adding that she’s wanted to meet since watching him in Romeo & Juliet. She made it happen at the Golden Globes on Sunday night.
“During one of the commercial breaks I went over to him and said ‘I’m very sorry to bother you but I’m Lupita Nyong’o and I’ve been dying to meet you.”
DiCaprio obliged and took a picture with her.
