Marian Robinson is not easily impressed. Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance at the Grammys earlier this week and texted her mom after the event to see if she had tuned in. In the messages, Robinson asks, “Did you meet any of the real stars or did you run right after you were done?” Obama shared the shady text exchange to Instagram, writing, “When your mom doesn’t think you’re a ‘real’ celebrity…Tonight in Phoenix, I shared this text thread from my mom from #Grammys night, and I just had to share it with all of you.” Responding to her mom, the former first lady joked, “And I am a real star…by the way.” We’re sure Robinson is proud of her daughter, but, you know, moms will be moms.
