Awkward Black Girl showrunner and soon-to-be HBO producer Issa Rae recently debuted her newest project: Get Your Life, a web series starring MTV personality and comedienne Amanda Seales.
The YouTube comedy, which Seales created in partnership with Rae, follows Seales, playing herself, battling the constant hardships (e.g. catcalling, subway mishaps…) that accompany life in New York City.
It’s Official! Issa Rae’s Comedy is Coming to HBO
“Seventy-five percent of the show is actual s–t that happens,” Seales said to the Huffington Post.
