Oscar winners Jennifer Hudson and Octavia Spencer team up for Lifetime’s newest drama, Call Me Crazy: A Five Film.
The made-for-TV movie, comprised of five short films, explores mental illness from multiple angles. Hudson plays Maggie, a war veteran returning home, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. The storyline follows Maggie as she struggles adjust to civilian life and parent her young son.
In a separate short, Spencer plays Dr. Nance, a psychotherapist who helps a law student cope with having schizophrenia. Dr. Nance’s medical expertise isn’t the only quality that saves the student’s life, it’s her support that makes their bond strong, reports EURweb.
