It was only a matter of time before Oprah Winfrey had her turn to sit down with America’s golden girl, Gabrielle Douglas.
On a special episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter airing August 26, the media mogul chats with Douglas in the backyard of the gymnast’s Des Moines, Iowa home. The pair also take a trip to Douglas’ stomping grounds—or shall we say tumbling grounds—for a never-before-seen glimpse inside the gym where Douglas trained for her gold medal Olympic performance.
Douglas’ mother Natalie Hawkins and coach Liang Chow also share their take on the sacrifices Douglas has made over the years and what’s next for 16-year-old star.
