Michael Strahan took his new post today as the co-host of Live! With Kelly, now retitled Live! With Kelly & Michael. It’s been a long time coming since his first appearance on the show on February 6, 2008, after winning the Super Bowl. He tearfully told the packed audience, “I’m speechless. I’m so happy to be here and to be a part of this.”
It’s a big week for Strahan. Not only is he starting his new job on the East Coast, but the 2012-2013 NFL season also begins on Wednesday. Strahan, a former New York Giant, is the host of Fox NFL Sunday, which tapes in Los Angeles. From now until the end of the season Strahan will be shuffling back and forth from coast to coast.
