NeNe Leakes’ Atlanta home has six bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms and two kitchens — but she rarely leaves her master bedroom.
“I walk right in and walk straight into the bedroom,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 49, tells PEOPLE. “I am a bedroom girl. I lay on the bed and talk on the phone, I eat in my bedroom. I do everything in my bedroom.”
Leakes’ multi-functional bedroom features an oversized Marge Carson bed — “It was one of those things that you walk in and you just love. I had to have it!” — plush pillows and silver wallpaper.
“I am obsessed with wallpapers,” says the Fashion Police co-host.
Leakes — who moved into her Mediterranean-style house a year ago along with her husband Gregg, 62, and sons Bryson, 26, and Brent, 17 — did all of the decorating in her home herself.

“I do piece by piece,” she says. “It’s work to find the piece that you like. The table will sit empty until I find the right lamp. I would rather it sit empty than buy something that I don’t love. I am still looking for a few pieces for my master.”
Her overall aesthetic has been “all white and mirrors” — a contrast from her former “traditional home.”
“I wanted something completely different,” says Leakes. “This is bright and I like that.”
She was also drawn to the house for its convenient location.
“Location is very important because I go to the airport all the time so I wanted to be located near the highway!”
