A new accuser has come forward to allege that singer R. Kelly groomed her for his sex cult and gave her an STD.
A new claim accuses the singer of infecting an unidentified woman with an STD and says the victim ended their relationship in February.
According to the New York Daily News, Lee Merritt, the woman’s attorney, says the couple’s relationship included “several forms of criminal misconduct.” Kelly allegedly “furnished alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor” and is accused of “unlawful restraint and aggravated assault.”
Kelly’s predatory behavior has been well-documented. In a documentary for the BBC, R Kelly: Sex, Girls and Videotapes, Kelly’s former studio engineer James Lee alleged that the singer would pick up girls at a local McDonald’s. His former business manager, Rocky Bivens, also added, “If a girl was in a room and she had a big booty, she had a big booty. If she was 15 or 20, she had a big booty to him. Period.”
In July 2017, BuzzFeed News also published a report accusing Kelly of holding women hostage in an abusive sex cult with members of their families speaking out.
The singer continues to deny the allegations, but has not spoken out about recent accusations.
