Crossing the burning sands is something Black men and women have done since the founding of Alpha Phi Alpha at Cornell University in 1906 and Alpha Kappa Alpha in 1908 at Howard. Since, then, multiple Black Greek letter organizations have formed to be known as the Divine Nine. Check out this list of famous Black sorority and fraternity members and meet sorors and frat brothers you might not have known you have.
