O.J. Simpson is on Twitter.
The infamous former football star launched a Twitter account with a video declaring that he’s got a “little gettin’ even to do.”
The account was confirmed by the Associated Press. This is Simpson’s first account on the social platform since he was released from prison in Nevada in 2017 after serving nine years for a 2007 kidnapping and armed robbery in Las Vegas.
In the Twitter video, Simpson said his followers would get his opinions on “just about everything.”
“Now, there’s a lot of fake O.J. accounts out there,” he said in the self-recording adding that this one would be official. He appeared to record the message himself and ended it with a grin.
He is currently following eight people, and has garnered over 425,000 followers in just over 24 hours.
It’s been 25 years since the killings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, who were stabbed to death on the night of June 12, 1994. He was ultimately acquitted of the crime before a national TV audience.
Simpson, who currently lives in Las Vegas, remains on parole until Sept. 29, 2022.
