David Letterman is coming back to TV and he has tapped former President Barack Obama to be his first guest.
The former late-night host will debut his new Netflix interview show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” on Jan. 12 with Obama in the interviewee chair. The episode will also mark Obama’s first TV appearance since he left office last year.
Future guests on the hour-long interview show include Jay-Z, George Clooney and Tina Fey, Netflix announced. Letterman signed a deal last year to develop the six-episode Netflix show, for which he will be paid $2 million per episode.
Letterman retired from hosting the “Late Show” on CBS in 2015. He hosted the show for over 20 years.
