Like a pimple on the corner of your chin or a migraine that pops up every blue moon, Stacey Dash is back in the public eye for a tweet she made in regards to Rep. Maxine Waters.
On Monday, BET aired Black Girls Rock! 2017, a celebration of black women in different facets making positive changes for the collective community. Rightfully so, Waters was honored for her four decades of civil rights work in the state of California and country as a whole.
“They would have me believe I’m too black, too confrontational, I’m too tough and I’m too disrespectful of them,” she said to the crowd of black women and girls.
“But now, I know I’m simply a strong black woman. I am you and you are me. We have power, we have influence, we can do things others have told us we can’t do. I don’t care how big you are, I don’t care how high you think you are. If you come for me I’m coming for you.”
Adding, “Not only will we resist you, we will impeach you Mr. President!”
Apparently, those were fighting words for the staunch conservative, Stacey Dash who commented on BET’s Twitter post of the ‘BGR’ video.
“This is how you spin a corrupt media buffoon sucking up her late in life 15 minutes,” Dash said.
As reported by Us Weekly, at the top of the year Dash’s contract with Fox as a political pundit was not renewed. During the time she was on the air, she was accused of making transphobic comments, said their shouldn’t be a Black History Month and claimed President Obama didn’t care about terrorism.
We’ve yet to see Dash on a news program in 2018, but at least she’s getting her annual 15 minutes right now.
