Oprah’s “The Life You Want Weekend” tour kicked off this weekend in Washington, DC, and the media mogul has revealed a unique bucket list item to her fans.
According to the Huffington Post, an attendee asked Oprah if she had a bucket list of things she wants to do in her lifetime and, if so, what item was at the top of the list.
“I hadn’t thought of having a bucket list,” Oprah said. “But so many of you, since this is on your bucket list, I’m now thinking I might make a bucket list!”
Winfrey revealed that a truffle hunting experience in Florence, Italy is something that she’s always wanted to do.
“Every summer I’ve planned this and never did it,” she says. “On the way to South Africa this time, I’m stopping in Italy and I’m going in on a truffle hunt with the pigs and the dogs. That has been on my list for a long time. This year I’m finally going to do that!
Speaking of bucket lists, one lucky baker in Detroit will get the experience of a lifetime when Oprah visits her shop during the Michigan stop of “The Life You Want Weekend.”
April Anderson of Good Cakes and Bakes got a call from one of Oprah’s representatives saying Oprah wants to come and try some of her baked goods.
The Spelman graduate is living Oprah’s message of finding a passion and living it. Anderson says she realizes what an Oprah endorsement can mean for her year-old business.
“I’m excited,” said Anderson. “At the same time, I’m scared, but this is what I got into the business for: to succeed.”
